About Healing Hearts & Crafts

It's hard to say when I began this journey, because in many ways, it's always been a seed buried in my soul seeking light. I’ve felt a deep pull towards creating, often privately, as far back as I can remember.... as if something inside me needed to be made visible, felt, and shared. Creating, especially through poetry and collage, has been my language, my anchor, and my passion from a young age. It's been the place I've been compelled to go to every time I went through difficult seasons and experiences.... ones I didn't know how to speak of, or who to speak with about.

Healing Hearts & Crafts was born from a soul-deep connection to making and meaning, and a deep belief in art’s power to transform, connect, and heal. Art is a language that speaks beyond literal words.... a universal thread weaving us together through shared stories, emotions, and dreams. Through creating, we touch the essence of what it means to be human: vulnerable, hopeful, and endlessly resilient.

For me, poetry and (digital) collage weren't just forms of art.... they were tools for expanding my self-expression, self-knowledge, and emotional growth and maturity. They’ve helped me process, reflect, and reconnect with parts of myself that otherwise couldn't be reached. They've been the gateway that opened me up to even more forms of art, and seeing myself as part of a greater whole.

As an advocate for art as a path to healing and self-discovery, I started this business to create a space where others could experience that same magic. A space where people from all walks of life can explore who they are, express what they feel, and connect their experiences with themselves and with others, through their own creative process.

We offer a growing collection of thoughtfully selected art and craft supplies, stationery, books, and digital products, along with upcoming classes, workshops, and art therapy (by referral) services (soon to come) .... all designed to nurture the heart through expression, exploration and discovery, and to facilitate what this business and its mission represents.

Though founded by a single person, this business is the result of many hands, hearts, and influences. It stands as a reflection of every conversation, lesson, act of generosity, creative spark, and meaningful connection over the course of my entire life that helped shape its path for me. Nothing here was created in isolation from that.

It's a gathering place for inspiration, imagination, and shared humanity. My intention is that this space become more than a shop.... rather a catalyst and tool for creation, offering resources that help others explore their creativity, nurture their wellbeing, and bring something uniquely their own into the world.
